About

I am a first generation American who grew up in Apple Valley when my parents, along with my two younger sisters moved from Cambridge, Massachusets in 1971. I was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley and graduated from AVHS in 1986. During those years, I was fortunate enough to be involved with the Boy Scouts, Varsity High School Tennis, Choir, Band, Theater and Drama, and Lifeguarding.

I proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1987 as an Inflight Aerial Refueling Specialist (aka Boom Operator) stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base and served in Desert Storm in Egypt and Saudi Arabia with an honorable discharge in 1991.

After the military, I completed my associates degree from Normandale Community College transferring in credits from the Community College of the Air Force, then finishing my Bachelors degree from Saint Cloud State University using my G.I. Bill.

I Moved to Lakeville in 2001 where my daughters, Isabella and Katarina, attended Cherryview Elementary, Century Middle School, and graduated from Lakeville North High School. Isabella is attending Hamline as a sophomore and Katarina the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota as a freshman.

Volunteering has been a big part of my life. The National Ski Patrol has been an orginization that I have voluntered thousands of hours mostly at Buck Hill Ski and Snowbaord area. First I started in high school in 1982 as a freshman through 1985 as a Junior Patroller at Hyland Hills Ski Area. Then, I resumed again in 2010 at Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard Area where I haved enjoyed patrolling. Since July 2020, I have been proudly serving as the Patrol Director for the area with a staff of 85 volunteer patrollers. I specialize in Education and Training in Outdoor Emergency Care and Ski Proficency & Toboggan Handling to serve skiers and the public when medical emergencies present themselves.

I enjoy all live music, preferably at smaller venues. My girlfriend and I spend lots of time enjoying all the wonderful parks that Lakeville has to offer; Casperson, Ritter, and Antlers Park are on the top of our list!
